We are one of thirteen independent Community Ministries in Jefferson County providing emergency assistance to our neighbors. The Association of Community Ministries (ACM) has systems in place to provide emergency financial assistance for utilities and housing as well as food and household supplies. We continue to work together as a network to be flexible and accommodating to the people who need support in their time of crisis. Find ACM’s website here: www.louisvilleministries.org
Through ACM’s partnership with LG&E and Louisville Water Company, we ensure that more than 10,000 families every year have running water, heat in the winter, and air in the summer. We partner with more than 300 churches throughout Jefferson County, and through that network, are able to help thousands more reach stability. We also work closely with Louisville Metro Government to administer local funds in our community.
Central Louisville Community Ministries was founded more than 50 years ago by downtown communities of faith that wanted to have a greater impact helping those in need in our neighborhood. Today, we are ten congregations strong, and we welcome others to join us!
